Indian Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet: Age limit, Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit:

  • Candidates must be born between July 2, 2005 and January 1, 2008 (both dates inclusive).
  • There is no age relaxation mentioned for any category of candidates.

Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from any Board.
  • They must have secured at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
  • Candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).
  • Candidates must have appeared for the JEE (Main) 2024 exam.

Marital Status:

  • Candidates must be unmarried.

Indian Navy Executive and Technical Branches: Selection Process

Selection Process:

  1. Candidates will be shortlisted for SSB interviews based on JEE (Main) 2024 All India Rank (CRL).
  2. Shortlisted candidates must fill their JEE (Main) 2024 CRL rank in the application form.
  3. SSB interviews will be conducted at Bangalore, Bhopal, Kolkata, and Visakhapatnam from Sep 2024.
  4. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about SSB via email and SMS using the details provided in the application.
  5. No change in the SSB center is allowed.
  6. Candidates must download a call letter on receiving intimation from the Navy.
  7. No compensation for injuries during SSB.
  8. AC 3-tier rail fare is admissible for first-time SSB candidates.

Merit List:

  • Based on SSB marks, medically fit candidates will be selected subject to police verification, character verification, and vacancies.

Training:

  • Selected candidates inducted as Cadets for 4-year B.Tech in Applied Electronics & Communication, Mechanical or Electronics & Communication Engineering.
  • B.Tech degree awarded by JNU upon completion.
  • The entire training cost including books, reading material, clothing, and messing borne by the Indian Navy.
